Yorkville Avenue is closed to vehicular traffic between Bellair Street and Hazelton Avenue from 6 a.m. this morning until 6 a.m. on Monday, September 14, Toronto police say. The road shuts for six days for a festival that runs four.
The closure covers the second annual Rogers TIFF Yorkville Activation, which police say will take place on Yorkville Avenue with festival days running Thursday, September 10 to Sunday, September 13.
Festival hours are Thursday 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Police say traffic delays can be expected in the area during event hours, and recommend that people attending take public transit.
The notice was issued by 53 Division on Monday morning, a day before the closure took effect.
