Peel police are warning shoppers at Square One after three robberies in which people who had just bought electronics were followed into the mall’s parking garage and attacked. One victim was hospitalized with significant injuries.

Investigators believe the suspect is following customers out of an electronics store and approaching them once they reach the parking garage. Two of the robberies happened between May 9 and June 27. The most recent was on September 3, shortly after 5 p.m.
In that case the victim was seriously hurt and taken to hospital. A victim in one of the earlier robberies suffered minor injuries. In each case the item taken was electronics the shopper had just purchased.
Who police are looking for
The suspect is described as a Black man, roughly six feet tall, thin build, about 215 pounds, with short black hair and dark brown eyes. Police say he is known to wear a medical mask and gloves.
