A 64-year-old Cambridge man has died after his e-bike collided with two vehicles at a Cambridge intersection on Sunday evening, Waterloo Regional Police say.
The crash happened at about 8:15 p.m. ET on Sept. 6 at Franklin Boulevard and Glamis Road, and involved a Nissan, a Ram pickup truck and the e-bike. Police say the e-bike’s rider was taken to an out-of-region hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died of them. Waterloo Regional Police updated their release at 7:46 a.m. ET. Monday to confirm the death, and are now investigating a fatal collision. The drivers of the Nissan and the pickup, both 19-year-old Cambridge men, were not hurt. No charges have been announced, and police say the investigation is ongoing.
The intersection was closed for several hours while officers investigated. Anyone who saw the collision or has dashcam footage is asked to call the police at 519-570-9777.
