York Regional Police have charged an 80-year-old Georgina man with six counts of criminal harassment following a series of reported incidents in Keswick.
Investigators with the service’s #3 District Criminal Investigation Bureau say that between August 10 and September 1 the accused approached groups of young females and made inappropriate verbal comments, including sexual remarks about their appearance. In one reported incident, police say he followed the youths to their residence and remained outside their homes.
The suspect was seen driving a white Lincoln SUV, according to the service.
Charles Blair, 80, of Georgina is charged with six counts of criminal harassment. The allegations have not been proven in court.
Police say they believe there may be additional incidents that have not been reported, and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
Keswick is the largest community in the Town of Georgina, on the southern shore of Lake Simcoe at the northern edge of York Region.
