Canada extends Ebola freeze on visas and permits for Congo, South Sudan and Uganda applicants to Sept. 28, with 42,000 applications on hold
The immigration order and the 21-day entry ban on travellers from the DRC were both extended to Sept. 28. As of Aug. 12, IRCC had 31,693 permanent resident and 10,465 temporary resident applications on hold and had suspended 24,949 issued documents.
